Due to the rain, Chris Baker held the
Cruise-In inside the restaurant. There was a good turn out with
some cruisers bringing their cars anyway. I estimate that there
were about 150 people in attendance.
Chris passed out the weekly
trophies, special "of the Year" trophies door prizes and the 50/50
drawing. Kris Kopacki, Doug Lightfoot and Dave Kowalski each received a
weekly "Best of Show" trophy.
Newly created plaques for "Cruiser
Couples of the Year" were given to couples who have been chosen as
Cruiser Couples for each of the past two years. Four plaques
were awarded for the 2005 " Cruiser Couples of the Year". My
husband and I received one of these plaques. Thank You Chris.
Four Plaques were given for "Father
and Son Cruises of the Year". The father-son cruisers, Bud
and Kent Pennington and Tim and Eric Leslie each received these awards.
You could find Bud and Kent along with Tim and Eric almost every week
parked in the corner on the hill.
Three "Cruisers of the Year"
trophies we handed out. Bud Pennington won 2nd place for his 1969
Dodge Charger 500.
