| 10 members of our club were
invited by Chrysler-Jeep Superstores and Detroit River Regatta
Association to display their classic Mopars at the 2006 Detroit APBA
Gold Cup Races. The Gold Cup is the longest running motor
sports trophy. This was it's 102 year running.
Our cars participated in the opening ceremonies. Each car's owner, year, make, model and home town were announced over the PA system as they drove through. We we able to see the Unlimited Hydroplane boats as well as Ultra Lites, and Vintage Boats. Joe Tate a former champion gave us a tour of some of the boats he has raced in the past.
